Happy Wednesday! TGIW…does anyone else think this week is unreasonably long? I’m ready for the weekend. Now.
This week for WIAW, I thought I would share a day in the life of Kim, Academic Advisor by day, lazy blogger by night! Thanks to Jenn at Peas and Crayons for hosting!
Up at 6:06am. Because it’s a better time than 6:10am. Obvs. Do you like my alarm names? I try to keep it fresh!
After showering, I throw on my robe, make a giant cup of coffee and multi-task watching the local news and reading email, Facebook, and Bloglovin’. Mornings are busy busy!
I always eat something for breakfast before work. It is the most important meal! Monday was an english muffin topped with peanut butter and a side of apple. Nom, nom, nom.
At work. It’s morning. I didn’t dress for the sub-artic (aka 50 degree) weather. I have too much to do and instead I’m taking a second to take a selfie. #bloggerproblems (Also, check out my rogue left eyebrow — that bad boy is sticking up like crazy!).
Working lunch, in between student appointments. Tuna salad, string cheese, graham crackers, and dessert. Delish.
Please note: check out the totally cute cow sitting on my desk (top left). He’s my office mascot!
Gym after work. 20 minutes on the elliptical, after a less than successful attempt on the stationary bike. Seriously, I don’t know why I couldn’t ride the bike, but after 10 minutes, I gave up and ran to the elliptical.
Planking at home. Because apparently I have no core strength. Like my messy apartment in the background? I also did some other ab exercises too!
Dinner! Half a chicken breast with coconut thai ginger seasoning, peanut rice, and soy sauce for dipping.
And strawberry pretzel jello for dessert. Leftover from this weekend. I ate too much of it. But it was so good.
Working on today’s post and watching the West Wing. Which I’m still obsessed with. I’m halfway through Season 2!
Bed time. Reading in bed (Cuckoo’s Calling), followed by tossing and turning because even though my body wants to sleep, it won’t fall asleep (forgive my mini rant!).
Obviously, this is a pretty truncated version of my day, but sums up what a typical days looks like. Get up, complain about going to work, go to work, complain about going to the gym, go to the gym, dinner, blog, tv, read, bed. Seriously. Aren’t I funny?
Anyways, I’m still in a running hiatus (did I tell you about this?). I’m taking this week off and am trying to go for a run on Saturday. I’m hoping that low impact cross training and no running will help my body in the healing process. A girl can wish, right?
- What does your typical day look like?
- Reading any good books lately?
- Do you name your alarms?
